A Family Tradition, Growing into Something New

Windmill Harvest was started by Moses Lapp, the eldest son of Jesse and Anna Ruth Lapp—owners of

Old Windmill Farm, a beloved Amish destination in Ronks, Pennsylvania.

Moses grew up working the land, caring for animals, and welcoming visitors alongside his parents and six younger siblings. Rooted in a devout Amish upbringing and shaped by the values of faith, family, and honest work, Moses created Windmill Harvest with a simple goal: to share the goodness of local farm food with every guest who visits the farm.

At Windmill Harvest, we offer a thoughtfully curated selection of fresh, wholesome foods from our family farm and trusted neighboring farms in the Amish community. From free-range eggs and grass-fed meats to hand-churned butter, baked goods, and seasonal produce—everything we offer is prepared with care, using traditional methods and simple ingredients.

When you book a tour at Old Windmill Farm, you’ll receive the opportunity to

pre-order your favorite farm-fresh items—and your order will be ready and waiting for you to take home after your visit.

This is more than a business. It’s a continuation of our family’s mission to live simply, serve faithfully, and bless others with the work of our hands. We’re honored to share that mission—and our harvest—with you.

At Windmill Harvest, our Amish farm partners raise cattle naturally on lush Lancaster County pastures — no hormones, no shortcuts. From our family to yours, we take pride in bringing wholesome, local beef to your table.

Our quarter beef from Windmill Harvest has been amazing! Every cut has been top quality — the burgers are the best we’ve ever had, so juicy and full of flavor. We even tried the kielbasa, and now ‘kielbasa and noodles’ is a weekly dinner at our house. It’s rare for all four of our kids to agree on a meal, but this one’s a winner!
